As I write this, the snow of our second blizzard-like storm of the week is piling up outside.

Ironically, President Obama picked this week to announce the formation of a new global warming bureaucracy within the Department of Commerce. The news conference announcing this new "climate service" had to be canceled due to our D.C. area blizzard.

Yesterday afternoon, the Employee Free Choice Act, otherwise known as Card Check because it eliminates the secret ballot in union elections, received another major setback.

Last night from Hot Springs, Arkansas I watched with over 300 grassroots activists at our Americans for Prosperity town hall meeting as President Obama attempted one of the more embarrassing political conversions in American history.

As the final details of the health care bill are negotiated in secret meetings this week, people across the country are taking a step back to consider the evolution of such a bloated piece of legislation. It occurs to some that we don’t really know how Congress plans to lower our health care costs, one of the supposed reasons for this massive bill.
