Tough economic times have families, businesses and local governments making hard choices to balance their budgets. Sometimes we all have to cut back on things we want in order to keep our finances in good shape. But not in Washington…

The country has once again reached its debt ceiling; we now owe more than $14.3 trillion. That's more than $46,000 for every man, woman and child in the United States. But President Obama came to Congress looking for a blank check increase of the debt ceiling. Obama's proposed budget actually calls for us to double our debt in the next ten years; no wonder the Senate voted it down 97-0.

Take action today and urge your senators and representative to join the coalition pledging not to raise the debt limit unless we Cut, Cap and Balance the federal budget.
