Jennifer Seidel is a life long resident of Columbus. Raised in Upper Arlington, she graduated from Upper Arlington High School before attending Ohio University. She received a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science. Upon graduation, Jennifer moved back to Columbus and began working for the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation, a state agency.
After learning the agency side of state government, Jennifer went to the Ohio House of Representatives as an Administrative Aide for State Representative Chris Widener (Springfield), chairman of the Financial Institutions, Real Estate and Securities Committee. Six months later she took a job in State Representative Tom Raga’s (Mason) office who was Chairman of the Majority Policy Committee and Vice-Chair of the powerful Finance and Appropriations Committee. Jennifer was promoted to Senior Legislative Aide for Representative Raga. After Representative Raga’s term ended, she joined the office of Representative Jim McGregor (Gahanna) for the start of the 127th General Assembly before accepting the job with AFP.
