A group of Senators known as the “GANG OF 6” have been working on a plan concerning our national debt. These Senators include Republican Saxby Chambliss (GA), Republican Tom Coburn (OK), Republican Mike Crapo (ID).

This plan includes steps to slow the growth of Social Security payments, and it cuts $500 billion from Medicare. They also want to RAISE TAXES! Furthermore, McConnell and Reid are collaborating on a proposal that allows the President to raise the debt limit without a prior vote from Congress.

Fair Tax? The grand plan to restructure Georgia’s tax code and reform the system appears ready to go up in smoke, as it should. It seems everyone finds something in this bill to hate. Tax increases on cigarettes, gasoline, cable; loss of tax exemption for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church youth groups; new sales tax on haircuts, brake jobs, veterinary services – the more you read, the worse it gets.
