Born in Ohio and raised in southern Michigan, Chris Farr graduated summa cum laude from Central Michigan University with a B.S. in Education. After teaching special education for two years, she moved to Washington, DC where she worked for the American Conservative Union’s Education and Research Institute as Business Director. After moving to Raleigh, North Carolina, she started her political career as the Wake County Coordinator for Senator Jesse Helms. Over the course of the next 23 years while she stayed at home with her children and eventually worked in residential real estate, she worked on political campaigns from city council races to Presidential races and everything in between. She also held positions in her chosen Party from precinct chairman to Congressional District Chairman where she sat on the State Executive and Central Committee for several years while volunteering for school, sports, church and community projects.
