Repeal NelsonCare - Support Board of Education Member Bob Evnen's Resolution

Recently we shared with you a study done by Gov. Dave Heineman’s office that revealed the new federal health care bill, made possible by Sen. Ben Nelson’s decisive vote, will cost Nebraska an additional $526 to $766 Million in expanded Medicaid costs.

This is hundreds of millions of Nebraska tax dollars that will be taken from road construction and our schools and instead be used to pay another unfunded federal mandate. Gov. Heineman has asked education and other leaders across the state to work to repeal and replace the government-run health care bill.

Thankfully, State Board of Education member Bob Evnen has submitted a resolution that will be debated tomorrow by the Board that would call for the repeal of NelsonCare.

PLEASE, CONTACT THE BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS AND LET THEM KNOW YOU SUPPORT BOARD MEMBER BOB EVNEN’S RESOLUTION TO REPEAL THE FEDERAL HEALTH CARE BILL.

And we would like it if you joined us at the Board of Education hearing tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 2nd at 9am. Public comment can be made in the State Board Room on the 6th floor of the Nebraska State Office Building located at 301 Centennial Mall South in Lincoln.

We hear the news, in just a few weeks the nation is poised to elect an overwhelming number of new Senators and Congressman who support individual freedom and oppose NelsonCare. November is Coming and Nebraskans need to be right there supporting repeal and replace of this disastrous legislation.

Let’s start locally. Let’s start with the State Board of Education and letting our elected officials know we do not want Washington, D.C. managing our lives, our state budgets or our health care!

Thank you for all you do!
