Tea Party Pressure Forces Radical Teacher's Resignation

Facing possible termination, radical Leftist Conestoga Middle School teacher Jason Levin has taken the coward's way out and resigned his teaching position. Levin became a subject of national controversy after urging fellow Progressives to disrupt "Tea Party" events by creating racist signs, making untrue or outrageous statements to the media while posing as Tea Party supporters and to attempt to steal personal information from actual Tea Party supporters in order to commit identity theft and ruin Tea Party supporters lives.

The groups affiliated with the Oregon Tea Party - including AFP-Oregon - had not called for Levin's firing and so the Beaverton School Board's rumored termination action came as a surprise. Rather, they asked that Levin undergo sensitivity training and anger management counseling, and that his inappropriate behavior and hate speech be used as an opportunity to show teachers and staff at Conestoga Middle School and throughout the Beaverton School District an example of completely inappropriate behavior by an education professional.

However, according to reports the District received hundreds of phone messages and emails calling for Levin's firing, putting tremendous pressure on the District to take strong action. The District's investigation centered not on the content of Levin's hate speech, but rather whether he was using school equipment or time to post it.

Levin still faces an on-going investigation by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission which is likely to suspend or revoke his teaching credential if it wishes to uphold its own standards of conduct for the teaching profession. Regardless of the outcome of the TSPC investigation, Levin is not likely to be given access to Oregon schoolchildren again as the Tea Party groups will be watching where he lands next. He is most likely to find employment at the Oregon Education Association or with a left-wing political organization such as the Bus Project.
