RightOnline Re-cap

Special thanks goes to the Faulkner County TEA Party for the following guest blog post.

Americans for Prosperity’s RightOnline conference, held in the same city as the Progressive Netroots conference each year, was an absolutely awesome affair for many reasons. We flew into Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon, and met up with Dave Elswick and the contingent from KARN-FM. Dave is a true conservative and a friend of the Tea Party in Arkansas. He was there to broadcast from RightOnline. Here are some of the interviews he did in Las Vegas at the conference.

On arriving at the hotel (the Venetian – WOW!) we met up with Teresa Crossland-Oelke, the Arkansas Director for Americans for Prosperity (AfP). You can never say enough good things about Teresa. She’s there every time you need help, and knows her way around politics. She’s an excellent friend to the Faulkner County Tea Party and to all conservative organizations in Arkansas.

After getting settled in, we attended a reception and then a late dinner. This short time spent together on Thursday evening set the tone for the rest of the weekend — a lot of information passed around by some really knowledgeable people, networking, and non-stop inspiration!

Friday morning started early with opening ceremonies, and seemed to get better and better all day. Every hour a new session, each session more informative than the last. The first keynote speaker, after lunch, was Congressman Mike Pence, then on to more sessions. Information overload set in quickly. Lots of notes, conversation, and more networking. We met people who are doing everything you can imagine.

Saturday sessions ended at 5 pm, followed by dinner and the second keynote speech by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. What a stunning speech!

Michele Bachmann walks the walk and talks the talk. Exceptionally intelligent, down-to-earth, and dedicated to the Conservative message. We were impressed, to say the least.

Saturday started with a host of speakers, foremost of who was Judge Andrew Napolitano. We’ve always liked Judge Napolitano’s message of individual freedom and independence living under the protection of our Constitution, and hearing it in person was inspiring.

After the morning session and lunch we had more seminars and presentations. This continued until 3 pm, when we attended the November is Coming Rally hosted by AfP. The rally was followed by the high point of the trip; we all got on busses and went door-to-door in precincts outside Las Vegas to talk to people about Sharron Angle.

What a great experience! Most people who came to the door were supportive of getting rid of Harry Reid, and those who didn’t got a door hanger to educate them on his voting record.

Fantastic conference. Being out with people who believe as we do and networking with bloggers, radio personalities, and politicians was an inspiring, uplifting, and educational experience. Remember, November is Coming.
