ALEC's Rich States, Poor States Study

The American Legislative Exchange Council has come out with the fourth edition of Rich States, Poor States: ALEC-Laffer State Economic Competitiveness Index, offering a clear roadmap to prosperity. According to PEW, Arkansas has $2,752,546,000 in unfunded pension liabilities, while an AEI study shows the state as having $20,026,314,000. Arkansas does rank thirteenth in economic outlook, however that is lower than our state ranked in 2008 and 2009. The study also shows how the capital gains tax elimination was defeated by the DFA (page 8).
