While the Environmental Protection Agency tries to force an intrusive global warming regulatory scheme on the American people without so much as a vote of Congress, AFP is launching the 3rd swing of its Regulation Reality Tour in Ohio and Indiana, May 10-12.
This unprecedented EPA power grab would regulate vehicles, farming and mining equipment, lawnmowers, and just about everything with a motor. The regulatory requirements in many cases could require complete redesigns, as well as operational changes. It would also regulate any large commercial building or smaller facilities that produce carbon dioxide, including restaurants, schools, and hospitals.
“Our message to Congress is simple: If you don’t stop the EPA, we will hold you responsible for the lost jobs and higher prices,” said AFP Ohio State Director Rebecca Heimlich.
The tour will feature AFP’s very own EPA Carbon Cops in their environmentally friendly Smart cars, showing concerned citizens what the future could look like under the EPA’s global warming power grab.
Attendees will also hear from AFP President Tim Phillips, local elected officials, small business owners, and manufacturers from towns across Ohio and Indiana. Bipartisan resolutions in the Senate (S.J. Res. 26) and the House (H.J. Res. 76 and H. J. Res. 77) have been introduced to stop the EPA, and AFP is encouraging concerned citizens to contact U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown and Evan Bayh and urge them to co-sponsor and vote for these resolutions.
