Hundred's of grass roots activists descended on the Capitol today to encourage the Senate to take up the Health Care Freedom Act (HFCA), SJR25. The SJR sponsor, Senator Cunningham and the Senate Floor Leader Engler informed the crowd of a change in approach.

The change is essentially the HCFA would now be presented as a referendum, non-constitutional amendment, to the people in August. The Post-Dispatch has a reasonable summary of the action here.
