Scott Hagerstrom, Director, Americans for Prosperity-Michigan

Scott Hagerstrom was named the Director of Americans for Prosperity-Michigan in June 2008. Hagerstrom's sixteen years of experience includes directing legislative, political and grassroots strategy for Michigan's leading free market legislators, including former State Representatives Margaret O'Connor, Greg Kaza, Allen Lowe and Jack Hoogendyk.

Scott learned the importance of free market policies early on when his family was forced to move from Downriver Detroit to rural Southwest Michigan to Indiana in pursuit of economic opportunity. Scott worked his way through high school and college, earning his B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Hagerstrom and his wife Amy were married in 1996 and are the proud parents of McKenzie, Dagny, David and Amelia.
